This is a special offering from Volcafe PNG, who operates Papua New Guinea’s largest dry mill and is the only exporter in the country to own a wet mill. The Lahamenegu Mill in the Eastern Highlands connects with local producers and allows for tighter quality control. While most smallholders process their own coffee, this mill enables Volcafe PNG to purchase cherry and experiment with unique processing methods. Private wet mill ownership also makes it possible to produce natural-processed PNG coffees to order, using coffee cherry sourced from local supply chains. By maintaining long-term relationships with smallholders, the mill helps ensure consistent quality and reliable production year after year.
