West Java

A featured coffee from Blue Batavia green coffee was grown in West Java, just outside the city of Bandung. The mountains of Preanger in this area contains fertile black soil that has been ideal for growing Arabica coffee for over three centuries.

Look for classic notes of Java coffee, such as dark chocolate, cedar, and dried fruit. We find a finish similar to black tea which can be attributed to the semi-washed process that brings out a cleaner cup profile and medium body.
